Bridal Hair in Geelong
On your wedding day, your hair needs to look right from the first photo to the last dance. That is a long time to ask of any style. It needs to hold, look right in photos, and feel like you. Barb has been doing bridal hair in Geelong for more than 13 years, and she knows the difference between hair that looks good in the chair and hair that actually lasts the day.
Salon Eve is based in Geelong West and works with brides getting married at vineyard, waterfront, farm, garden and coastal venues across Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula and the Surf Coast. Wedding hair is available in the salon, at your home and on location at your venue.

Wedding Hair Styles

| Soft sculpted updo | Lifted and elegant without being stiff. Works beautifully for outdoor venues. |
| Half up, half down | Relaxed and romantic. Suits most hair lengths and dress styles. |
| Romantic waves | Soft movement and texture. Best prepped well to hold across an all day wedding. |
| Blowout | Polished, full and bouncy. One of the 2026 bride’s favourites for effortless glamour. |
| Braided styles | Incorporated into an updo or as a feature. Suits both formal and rustic settings. |
| Natural texture | Curly, wavy or straight – enhanced and celebrated rather than fought against. |
Every style recommendation is matched to your hair type, dress neckline, accessories and the conditions of the day. If a style you have in mind will not hold in your hair or will not photograph well with your dress, Barb will tell you in the most honest way, and suggest options that will work instead.

How It Works
| 1 | Get in touch with your wedding date, venue and rough party size. Barb will discuss what is involved and put together a custom quote. |
| 2 | Book your trial appointment around 2 to 3 months before the wedding. This is where styles are tested on your actual hair, not just from reference photos. |
| 3 | At the trial, Barb preps your hair first, observes how it holds heat and curl. If something does not perform, there is time to adjust and try new options before the day. |
| 4 | On the morning of the wedding, Barb manages the run sheet. Who goes first, who is second, how the timing flows. Her job is to take that off your plate. |
| 5 | And your hair is done! Now for more fabulous wedding photos. |

What Barb Wants Brides to Know
The questions every bride asks and wants practical, honest answers for.
| Will my hair hold all day? | The trial is the only way to know for certain. Barb assesses hold during the prep stage at the trial and adjusts product and technique accordingly. If the style you want will not last eight hours in your hair, she will tell you at the trial and try alternative options to make sure it lasts the entire day. |
| What if it rains, or the weather is unpredictable? | Outdoor venues on the Bellarine and along the coast can be humid, windy and completely different from what the forecast said. Barb factors this in. If it is a coastal summer wedding and you want your hair down, she will walk you through what that means practically, and what can be done with product and prep to give it the best chance. |
| Will I still look like me? | Yes. That is the goal. Not a version of someone else’s wedding photo, but the best version of you on the best day of your life. Barb will ask about your dress, your earrings, your facial features, and how you normally wear your hair before making any recommendations. |
| What if I change my mind after the trial? | That is exactly why the trial is booked 2 to 3 months out. It leaves enough time to try something completely different if needed. |

Frequently Asked Questions About Wedding Hair in Geelong
How far in advance should I book wedding hair in Geelong?
For on location wedding hair in Geelong, booking 6 to 12 months ahead is recommended, particularly for peak season Saturdays in October, November and March. The Bellarine Peninsula books especially early for spring and autumn weddings. The trial should still be booked 2 to 3 months before the date.
Do I need a hair trial before my wedding?
Yes. A trial is strongly recommended at Salon Eve, ideally 2 to 3 months before the wedding. The appointment takes around one hour and is the only way to test how a style holds in your specific hair and confirm it works with your dress and features. One trial is usually enough, though a second can be arranged if needed.
How long does wedding hair take on the morning?
Allow 45 to 90 minutes per person as a guide, depending on hair length and style complexity. For wedding parties, Barb works through prep for all hair first before returning to do the finished styles in order, which keeps the morning moving smoothly without rushing the bride.
What if my hair does not hold curl or style well?
The trial is designed to find this out before the wedding day. During prep, Barb observes how the hair responds to heat and product. If curl drops quickly or hold is poor, product and technique are adjusted at the trial, not on the morning. For very fine hair, extensions may be discussed as part of the solution.
Can you travel to our wedding venue?
Yes. For wedding parties, Salon Eve can travel on location to your venue on the morning of the wedding. On location bookings require early planning, with 6 to 12 months notice recommended for peak season dates. For smaller groups and event styling, in salon appointments are available as well.
Does Salon Eve offer makeup for weddings as well?
Yes, through a collaboration with Eyedo Beauty. Christina is a professional makeup artist who works alongside Salon Eve for weddings and events. Contact the salon to arrange a combined hair and makeup enquiry.
I already have a makeup artist. Can Salon Eve just do my hair?
Absolutely. Salon Eve is happy to take care of hair, whether you have your own makeup artist, are doing your own makeup, or simply do not need both services. Every wedding is different and bookings are flexible. Get in touch to discuss what you need and we will work around it.
How much does wedding hair cost in Geelong?
Wedding hair at Salon Eve is priced based on party size, location, travel and the services required. There is no set package rate. Call (03) 5298 1547 or send an enquiry to Ferrb42@gmail.com with your wedding date, venue and party details to receive a custom quote.
